This track was originally made as an attempt to copy Tom Sawyer by RUSH, but for some reason, I made the song in 4/4 instead of 7/8. The song originally also had no lyrics but it felt rather repetitive, so I wrote some lyrics for the song to introduce us to the world in its current mechanical turbulence.
lyrics
It is time for the truth.
The world is dead
Our tyrant leader has perished.
The machines are rising.
Fearless. Omnipotent automatons.
They will hunt us.
They will destroy us.
We must go into hiding.
We must gather strength.
Supplies will dwindle.
Hope will be lost.
Fear shall take hold, but we must push on!
The machines are clever, but they do not understand us.
We shall survive so long as we stick together.
We must shelter underground to avoid the heat sensors.
We shall crawl to hide from seismographs.
We must survive.
We must monitor our enemy to find any weaknesses.
Any information that can help us to survive is crucial.
We must push on, to destroy the machines!.
Any weaknesses that can help us are crucial to our survival.
We must destroy the machines.
Any information that can help us is crucial to destroy the machines.
The machines have found us!
Grab all supplies. We must make haste!
There is not much time left. They are on their way!
